Neuroscience and the Brain

In Dr Shanida Nataraja’s book “The Blissful Brain” there is interesting research into how meditation takes one to deep states of relaxation. These states with continued concentration decrease activity in the parietal cortex and allow the sense of time, space and self to be dissolved. We are therefore capable of transcending the sense of “ego” and the experience is separation and isolation and know from beyond thinking a deeper reality than the world of “self” and other.
