Deirdre Quiery - emotional intelligence at work training

Deirdre Quiery is an experienced professional who has managed teams in Financial Services District Offices throughout the UK, partnered as a HR business Consultant and designed and developed a wide range of innovative senior leadership interventions. She regularly partners with Development Dimensions International Limited, a global HR Consultancy, to deliver Leadership Workshops across more than a dozen European Countries and in Africa and India.

She is passionate about helping people to courageously realise their full potential, working imaginatively with them to challenge their boundaries and paradigms – drawing them to connect with life’s deeper purpose and meaning and sensitively supporting them to overcome the doubt and fear that accompany change and growth.

She has an MSc. in Consciousness Studies and Transpersonal Psychology from Liverpool John Moore’s University.

She has won several prizes for her business writing and is an inspiring Speaker on the themes of “Emotional Intelligence at Work”, “Beyond Vision and Values”, Transcending the Corporate Ego” and “The Appearance and Disappearance of Space, Time, Self and World.”

Education and Credentials

Martin Quiery is convinced that the development of good Leaders is essential to the modern world. He thinks that Leadership quality and breadth needs to improve drastically and urgently. He knows from experience that core Leadership skills can be learned and is committed to playing his part in this process.

He designs and facilitates a wide range of Leadership Development Workshops encompassing material from Business Visioning, through Strategy Execution to helping leaders to develop higher levels of Emotional Intelligence to engage and energise their teams more effortlessly and more effectively and enabling them to act with wisdom and integrity.

He also designs and delivers Finance Workshops to enable non-finance managers more effectively to leverage core finance tools to achieve their own objectives and work more credibly with colleagues in the commercial arena. He has designed and run the Finance Module for MSc. students in Loughborough University’s Business Department.

He complements his Workshop interventions with Business Consultancy including designing and implementing Business Planning and Process Improvements, improving profitability and operational effectiveness providing on-going coaching development and support at all levels up to and including executive. He is equally comfortable in Spanish and in English.

As a Finance Controller in a number of large UK companies including Arriva p.l.c. and the Unipart Group of Companies, he developed and improved all aspects of the financial environment (control, reporting, business planning, IT, etc.) and imlemented strategic and financial plans, consolidating across several European countries. He operates and influences comfortably at board level and loves to present to large employee gatherings engaging people with humour and imagination.

Martin qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) with KPMG in the UK and was a Mechanical and Chemical Engineer with Monsanto Ltd.
